SHIMANO introduces the new PONTOON cleat system for better pedal stability in combination with the new SH-RX910 gravel shoes.
The advantage of the PONTOON adapter for gravel riding
Traditional blocks on the sole only ensure stable contact between the shoe and the pedal when the cleats are positioned exactly in the middle. Our PONTOON system tightly wraps around the cleats, ensuring better stability and contact in any cleat position.
Stable
Our PONTOON system redefines pedaling stability with an even larger contact area between the pedal and cleat.
Adjustable
No matter where you place the system, you will always achieve maximum engagement efficiency and stability.
Replaceable
One pair of PONTOON adapters is included with the RX910 cleats, and replacement parts can be purchased separately.
Safety Warning
If you do not follow the warning below, the cleats may not slide out of the pedals when you want them to, or they may slip out unexpectedly or accidentally, resulting in serious injury.
- This PONTOON SPD adapter is a special adapter for connecting an SPD pedal to a SHIMANO SPD cleat. Never use it with other shoes.
- This PONTOON SPD adapter is only compatible with SPD cleats.
- This PONTOON SPD adapter is not compatible with SPD cleat spacers.
- Before installing this PONTOON SPD adapter and SPD cleats on your shoe, please read the service instructions for the respective shoe and pedal.
- When installing components, follow the instructions in the service instructions. We recommend that you use genuine SHIMANO parts. If parts such as screws and nuts become loose or damaged, the bicycle may suddenly fall, which could result in serious injury.
